Client Cases

Many of our clients share the same challenges, challenges that Blue Stone Journeys was specifically designed to help solve. Here are just some of the concerns our clients face:

Planned Communities

Participants have many of these concerns:

  • Getting older is hard! My body and mind are changing in ways I am not happy about.
  • The people I know and love are getting sick and dying.
  • I feel lonely. I don’t have family or friends nearby anymore.
  • Did I save enough for retirement? Can I retire?  I hope I don’t outlive my money.
  • I want to keep “current,” learn and experience new things.
  • I have anxiety about the future.

Ecotherapy is an ideal way to ‘just be’ and reconnect with the earth.  Many find that getting outside to experience nature is healing in and of itself and alleviates distress.  Many also find hope in experiencing something new and restorative.

Universities

College Students are under a lot of pressure and are experiencing the following:

  • Did I make the right choice in this college? In my major?
  • Where do I fit in?
  • I feel so much pressure and stress socially, academically and financially.
  • There are so many new people in my life, I live in a completely new world.
  • I feel depressed.
  • I miss my dog.

College Professors and Administrators have their own stressors:

  • Did I make the right choice in this profession?
  • How do I keep up with others in my field?
  • We are always asked to do more with less.
  • I’m having trouble coping financially.

Complementary Health Centers

Nurses and Care Givers absorb significant stress as part of their work:

  • I often have feelings of despondence.
  • Caring for individual patients is a huge responsibility and very stressful.
  • I feel pressure to keep up with the rest of my medical team.
  • My job comes with a lot of physical strain.
  • Working within the medical system is hard.

Patients have their own stressors:

  • I want to feel more in control of my health.
  • I am open to explore and try new things.
  • I am worried and scared about the diagnosis.
  • I feel alone.
  • I don’t want to take so much medicine.

Companies

Leaders need help engaging their teams:

  • My biggest challenge is getting the team to connect to the mission.
  • Getting team members to work well together and jell is hard.
  • People have a hard time listening to one another.
  • It is challenging to get team members to be open to different perspectives.
  • We want our company to be one that’s known for taking care of its valued employees.

Even when employees enjoy their work, office life is stressful:

  • Today’s work is all consuming, I don’t have any personal time.
  • I have no time to stay on top of my field.
  • It is hard to make changes to the system.
  • I don’t feel I’m heard or respected.
  • There are people on my team who are very challenging to work with.
  • I don’t know how I fit into the team.

For those who need to hit pause, re-center and find yourself again in the noise — this is for you.
